Cyanotype ExplorationsFine Arts & CraftsOne of the earliest photographic techniques, cyanotypes (also called blueprints or sunprints), let you create unique images using natural and found objects. These workshops are beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone curious about alternative photographic processes. A Taste of Cyanotype (One Night): Create striking blue-and-white prints using natural and found objects like leaves, flowers, lace, and jewelry. Go home with 8–10 original designs and a new appreciation for the beauty of natural light and texture. Go Deeper with Cyanotype (Two Nights): The first night covers the basics of the historic sun-printing technique and includes creating your own set of blue-and-white designs on paper and fabric. We’ll also discuss other ways to create your own prints at home. On the second night, return with your prints to explore toning techniques that shift the cyanotype’s signature blue using tea, coffee, turmeric, and more, and experiment with larger or wearable fabric pieces.Spring 2026 -

Starting SoonStained Glass: Exotic GardenFine Arts & CraftsCreate beautiful stained glass works of art by shaping and assembling pre-cut glass and incorporating brass and copper elements. These stained glass classes cover the basics of the Tiffany-style copper foil method. You’ll learn to foil, burnish, flux, solder, and apply patina while exploring the basic chemistry behind this science-heavy art form. There will be no patterns to follow, giving you the freedom to explore your creativity with playfulness and push your creative boundaries. Take an individual class or multiple to build upon skills and add to your stained glass garden. WaitlistVisible Mending for Creative RepairsFine Arts & CraftsCreatively repair your damaged clothes with hand-stitching techniques. First, learn how to repair holes, tears, and stains in clothing made of woven fabrics using fabric patches and simple hand embroidery stitches. Then we will concentrate on darning, a fabric mending technique for woven or knit fabrics that involves reinforcing or re-weaving a portion by hand. Learn about tools and materials for visible mending and make a sampler of both techniques that you can refer to later. No hand sewing or mending experience required; new and returning students welcome. Please note: Feel free to bring with you any clothes you would like to repair or reuse, fabric scraps, or add on embellishments that you would like to use.Spring 2026
