    Luxury Tequila & Mezcal
    Food & Drink

The popularity of tequila and mezcal has exploded in recent years, and for good reason—they’re delicious! Come learn about the distinctive distillates of the blue agave plant from Mexico. We’ll start with tequila, comparing premium Blanco (unaged), Reposado (lightly aged), and Añejo (well-aged) varieties. Then discover how mezcal differs from tequila and taste why some people prefer it. Returning students are welcome, as we’ll be trying an entirely new lineup of tequilas. Light snacks are included.

A Taste of Terroir: Wine, Grapes & Soil
    Food & Drink

Wine lovers often talk about terroir—the combination of soil, climate, and landscape that shapes a grape’s character. Spend a relaxed evening exploring how the same grape expresses itself in different terroirs. Compare Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley’s volcanic soils with one from Bordeaux’s gravelly Left Bank; taste Pinot Grigio from northern Italy alongside the same grape grown in Willamette Valley, Oregon; and see how Garnacha from Spain’s Priorat region measures up to Grenache from France’s Côtes du Rhône. Discover the subtle and sometimes striking differences and find which terroirs speak to your palate.
