Push yourself with parkour movements, techniques, and challenges that will increase your capabilities in a safe, supervised structure. Incorporate acrobatic elements that explore air awareness, inversion, and“flair” or style into movement. Delve further into the roots and spirit of parkour training and explore how overcoming challenges can build self-confidence and adaptability that can be applied outside of parkour. Each time we meet, we’ll add additional pieces of equipment and learn new skills that build upon the previous week’s accomplishments. Parkour is like urban gymnastics, and lets you turn the entire world into your personal playground. In a non-competitive atmosphere, you’ll conquer natural and man-made obstacles by running, vaulting, jumping, climbing and rolling. Winter Hiking & SnowshoeingGet Moving (K-12)Winter hiking is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the views offered by a leafless landscape, the crispness of the air, the way the forest sounds, and warming up on a cold day. Hike local wilderness areas such as the Middlesex Fells Reservation and the Western Greenway, led by an experienced guide. Engage your curiosity, seek out adventure, build camaraderie, and increase your stamina on hikes of varying distances and challenges. Gain winter hiking confidence as you learn how to use micro-spikes on ice, snowshoes on fresh powder, and headlamps when our hikes continue past sunset. Our club will culminate in an optional full-day hike* in the White Mountain National Forest. Pickup & Dropoff: Students should look for the van at 3:00pm. On Wednesday early release days, meet the van at 1:20pm. All necessary equipment (including hiking backpacks, microspikes, snowshoes and headlamps) will be provided for both the club and the hike. Sturdy and waterproof boots, wool or synthetic layers, and cold weather outerwear including gloves and winter hat are required. Note: The full-day hike is on Sunday, March 9 and is open to Hiking Club members only, register separately.Winter 2026 -
Winter Outdoor RunningGet Moving (K-12)Calling all intermediate-to-advanced running enthusiasts! Embrace the fresh winter air and build fitness in this fun and challenging running program. We will move throughout the entire class with a combination of running and proper dynamic and static stretches, as well as plyometrics and strength circuits to stay strong. Independent running will be encouraged throughout the week to stay fit and on track to meet our goal of running a 4-5K at the end of the program. Please note: This program is held entirely outdoors and will be canceled only in the case of icy or other unsafe weather conditions. Students must arrive dressed for the cold weather and with proper footwear. Notifications of cancellations will be emailed the evening before.Winter 2026 -
Wrestling for Middle Schoolers: Step Onto the MatGet Moving (K-12)Learn the fundamentals of wrestling in an energetic and supportive environment. Coached by Arlington High School wrestling alumni, you’ll be mentored by members of the school’s championship team as you train alongside them. Build strength, agility, and confidence while developing technique and strategy, and discovering if wrestling is a sport you’d like to pursue in high school.
