          CPR & First Aid: Adults, Children & InfantsWellness & LifeThis American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Expect to learn about adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, first aid basics including choking, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, preventing illness and injury, and opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies. This intensive, three-hour course is for anyone with little or no medical training. Participants will be emailed a course completion card, valid for two years. Educators and students can register at a reduced rate. Please register first and then email us within 24 hours and we will refund you for the amount. Important: Because this is a certification class, you must be on time. The words and language of spiritual leader Eckhart Tolle, Buddhist monk Thich Naht Hahn, meditation teacher John Kabat Zinn, and the poet Mary Oliver will be referenced to support our understanding and practice. There will be an emphasis on how to establish or continue a regular meditation practice, as well as how to bring these concepts into your daily life. Please note: Wear comfortable, loose clothing and bring a blanket and meditation cushion if you have one.               WaitlistReiki CertificationWellness & LifeLearn Reiki for self-healing; to support friends, family, and pets in their healing process; and/or to become a Reiki professional. Level 1: Receive the attunements believed to allow Reiki healing energy to flow through your hands. Each participant will get a complete Reiki treatment and then practice giving one to another student. We will cover health effects, how to best utilize this gentle healing modality for the benefit of yourself and others, and how to open a Reiki practice. Note: Receive a Reiki Level 1 certificate at the successful completion of the training. Level 2: Add power and versatility and enhance your Reiki with three specific practical techniques. Learn to intensify Reiki energy, combine the practice of Reiki with psychological and emotional issues, and discover how to heal from a distance. Note: A Reiki Level 2 Certificate will be issued at the successful completion of the training.
