              WaitlistClimbing Club: On BelayGet MovingChallenge yourself on the brand-new climbing wall in the AHS gym. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, get the skills needed to safely belay on a ropes course, including how to fasten your climbing harness, tie a figure 8 knot, and participate in a team belay. High schoolers will also have the opportunity to learn how to solo belay using the PBUS (pull, brake, under, slide) method.Fall 2025 -

Led by an experienced guide, you’ll set out on nearby hiking adventures that will hyper-engage your senses. We’ll use headlamps, hiking poles, and our wits to conquer terrain that slowly becomes invisible as the sun sets. Tuesday: Pickup & Drop Off: Gibbs students should look for the van at 3:00 pm. It takes 15–20 minutes to get from Gibbs to Ottoson. Ottoson students pickup time will be between 3:15–3:20pm. Thursday: Pickup & Drop Off: OMS students should look for the van at 3:00 pm. Note: Sturdy walking shoes, layers including a sweater and a raincoat, water, and a snack are mandatory.           Winter Outdoor RunningGet MovingCalling all intermediate-to-advanced running enthusiasts! Embrace the fresh winter air and build fitness in this fun and challenging running program. We will move throughout the entire class with a combination of running and proper dynamic and static stretches, as well as plyometrics and strength circuits to stay strong. Independent running will be encouraged throughout the week to stay fit and on track to meet our goal of running a 4-5K at the end of the program. Please note: This program is held entirely outdoors and will be canceled only in the case of icy or other unsafe weather conditions. Students must arrive dressed for the cold weather and with proper footwear. Notifications of cancellations will be emailed the evening before.Fall 2025
