Wet Felted Wool & Silk Scarf

Felt a fabulously textured scarf for yourself or to give as a one-of-a-kind gift. The oldest known way to make fabric, felting combines layers of wool fibers into an integrated fabric without knitting or weaving. Use warm water, soap, and friction to compress and mat the fibers into a textile material to craft a soft, warm, beautiful, and lightweight scarf using nuno (the Japanese word for fabric) felting, which integrates fine merino wool fleece with silk fabric.
