Chocolate of Peru: A Guided Tasting

Peru’s diverse landscape produces an extraordinary range of flavor profiles, with roughly 70% of the world’s genetic diversity of cacao found within its borders. Taste Peruvian-origin chocolate with an expert chocolate sommelier who recently traveled to cacao farms and historical sites across the country. Hear stories and view images from the journey, including meeting Awajún Indigenous women, exploring archaeological evidence of some of the earliest known cacao use, and tasting rare cacao varieties and their botanical relatives. Discover how geography, history, and culture come together in every bite.
