Learn to play the banjo in the old-time clawhammer style.

Beginning: For those just starting out or with a bit of experience. Focus on right-hand technique and basic chords, aiming to learn a handful of tunes. The emphasis will be on learning by ear, with banjo tab handouts for support.

Continuing: If you can already play at least a handful of tunes, dive deeper into G, G modal, and double C tunings. We’ll continue refining right-hand technique to help you get the best possible sound.

Note: Students must bring their own banjo.
