Intro to Double-Bevel Marquetry
Cut and assemble a marquetry pattern using the double-bevel technique. You’ll carefully cut thin wood veneers, angling the edges so that, when fitted together, the shapes have subtle outlines and depth. Choose a lotus flower inspired by a 16th-century Chinese carving or create your own design. By the end, you’ll have a finished panel glued to a backer veneer, ready to display or inlay.
