From squids with doughnut-shaped brains to spiders whose brains fill most of their bodies, and octopus brains that extend into their arms, discover how different types of animal brains control movement, senses, and behavior. Use what you learn to design a Frankenstein-style creature with a brain you build for unique abilities. Research, plan, sculpt, and bring your wild creation to life while applying real neuroscience concepts.

Valeria Junca

Valeria Junca grew up in Colombia, a country known for its coffee, biodiversity, and because of the movie Encanto. She moved to the United States to study neuroscience at a small college in Minnesota and then moved to Boston where has been a Spanish Immersion teacher at Brackett Elementary School. In her free time Valeria loves to read and listen to music with the company of her cat Ramon. Her favorite animal is the Capybara (also found in Colombia!) and her favorite food is Ramen.
