Fundamentals of Botanical Painting with Watercolors

Paint favorite botanical subjects from direct observation. Learn classical botanical painting techniques of layering transparent watercolor washes on hot press watercolor paper to create detailed paintings. Botanical subjects include leaves, flowers, fruits, funghi and more. Drawing experience is recommended. New and continuing students are welcome.
Corry Buckwalter
Corry Buckwalter is a visual artist, educator and landscape designer based in Arlington. Her artwork explores ecology, land use, and botanical history. In the studio classroom, Corry nurtures individual student creativity through inclusive and supportive instruction. Her belief that art making is a catalyst for personal growth and community-building has grown from her extensive experience teaching adult learners of all abilities.
