The importance of strength training during perimenopause and menopause is finally getting the attention it deserves. Muscle and bone loss accelerate after menopause, but lifting weights can counter these changes and support overall health. Through safe, effective workouts tailored for this stage of life, you’ll build and maintain strength while learning to create your own empowering routines. Training takes place in a gym using both free weights and machines. Each session includes pre- and post-workout stretches, core work, and breathing techniques to help ease menopause symptoms.
Gaggi DeStefanis
Gaggi DeStefanis hiked the Alps as a young girl, sprinted as a teenager, and started running marathons in her early 20’s. She has coached in Arlington at the elementary, middle school, high school, and adult level. She loves downhill skiing and thinks strength training is the secret to life.
