Learn how to “paint” with embroidery thread to create beautiful, lifelike images. Suitable for both total beginners and experienced embroiderers, this class focuses on a unique form of painterly embroidery, a technique ideal for creating vibrant, realistic images of animals. Review embroidery basics like simple stitching and using patterns with three practice pieces. Then learn how to layer and blend stitches to create a colorful, painterly effect. In the final two sessions, you can choose to work with the instructor to design and stitch your own piece.

Please note: Supplies will be provided by the instructor, but you will need to bring a pair fabric scissors (for cutting fabric and paper), a pair of small embroidery scissors, and a bag to hold your supplies.
