Sasha Abby VanDerzee
Sasha Abby VanDerzee, PhD earned her Doctorate in Education specializing in Organizational Leadership & Communication from Northeastern University. She spent the first 7 years of her professional career working in higher education and the next 10 years working in urban secondary education. Currently, she oversees Boston Saves, the Children’s Savings Account program implemented by The City of Boston. When Sasha’s oldest son was getting ready to apply to college a few years ago, she spent countless hours learning how higher education had changed since she had applied in the 1990's.
