Learn the basics of digital photography and how to use your DSLR camera in this beginner-level class. We’ll complete cool, creative projects that explore shadow, light, and motion. Have fun exploring how to make shadow art, take “ghost” portraits, “paint” with light, and more.

Katherine Harte worked as a professional photographer for 10 years before switching careers to become a middle school English teacher. This summer workshop is inspired by a semester-long elective she developed and taught in Austin, TX. Katherine loves sharing her passion for photography with students.
