Continuing Ukulele: Jam Like the Pros
Adult Enrichment / Music, Theater & Film -
Summer 2023
Playing music with a group can be a fun and rewarding experience, especially when you don’t have your head buried in a book. In this session for all continuing levels (some prior experience with strumming and basic chords is required), we’ll play popular songs from various eras and genres with a focus on jamming—with just enough music theory to make you an expert. Topics will include call and response, blues, playing by ear, soloing, and arranging songs for performance. You will have opportunities to lead and follow songs, play solos and sing parts, or simply relax and strum with the group. All ukulele sizes including U-Bass are welcome.
