Ukulele is fun, portable, affordable, and easy to learn. In this intensive for absolute beginners or those with less than six months of experience, get an introduction to the uke that will set you well on your way towards playing by yourself and with a group. Learn how to hold and tune your ukulele, how to strum and form essential chords, sing and play at the same time, and get some tips about popular chord progressions in several musical genres. Amy Kucharik

Award-winning songwriter Amy Kucharik [/kuh-CHAR-ick/] has played ukulele as her primary instrument for more than a decade. In addition to teaching private lessons and weekly classes, Amy teaches and performs at ukulele workshops throughout New England. She headlined Rochester’s Flower City Ukulele Festival in 2019 and most recently was part of the Gaitherburg Ukefest’s online festival. Amy also performs locally and tours as a one-woman band with ukulele, tenor guitar, foot percussion, mouth trumpet and harmonica, or with her Boston-based bands. Visit Amykucharik.com
