3D Printing Design
Design intricate 3D objects using BlocksCAD, a software program that combines 3D modeling with block-based coding. You’ll learn computer coding, graphing skills, and 3-dimensional design. By dragging and dropping blocks of editable code that create and modify 3D shapes, you’ll use problem-solving to build models that can then be exported to a 3D printer. -
A Taste of Spain
Travel through Spain’s regional flavors as you prepare three classic dishes. We’ll make gazpacho from Andalucía, a refreshing blend of tomato, cucumber, pepper, olive oil, vinegar, and salt that’s light, vibrant, and served chilled. From Valencia, we’ll prepare a chicken and vegetable paella, Spain’s iconic rice dish known for its rich flavor and tender grains. To finish, we’ll create Peras al Vino from La Rioja, gently poached pears simmered in spiced, alcohol-free wine. All dishes are soy-, dairy-, nut-, and gluten-free. -

In Massachusetts, there isn’t just one way to divorce, and the path you choose can either reduce or increase conflict. This workshop explains the differences between mediation, collaborative law, and contested divorce, clarifies key legal terms, and shows how parenting plans and financial matters are typically handled. You’ll also learn practical steps for a respectful, efficient process—and, for parents, strategies to prioritize children’s well-being. All are welcome including couples considering attending together. -

Acrylic Painting: Loose & Bold
Learn to paint freely and boldly using acrylic paint. While we will go over the basics like composition, value, and color, the focus will be to connect with your intuition, paint from your heart, and discover your artistic voice. Each week we will focus on a different subject: landscape, still life, human figure, portrait, animals, urban landscape, interior study, and abstraction. All levels are welcome. Advanced Beginning Pottery
Attendance Policy: If you are unable to commit to attending all sessions, please do not register. Dig deeper into your clay craft to create more intentional, consistent, and functional pieces in this class for students who have basic experience with the potter’s wheel. Set a personal goal—throw and trim a specific form, produce thinner pots, or experiment with larger pieces of clay—and focus on achieving it throughout the course. Cone 5/6 clay, basic throwing tools, and decorating materials such as glazes will be provided, and your pieces will be fired in an electric kiln to produce food-, dishwasher-, and microwave-safe functional ware. -
Advanced Parkour
Bring your training to the next level with this class designed for more experienced parkour practitioners who have established a strong physical and technical foundation. Push yourself with parkour movements, techniques, and challenges that will increase your capabilities in a safe, supervised structure. Incorporate acrobatic elements that explore air awareness, inversion, and“flair” or style into movement. Delve further into the roots and spirit of parkour training and explore how overcoming challenges can build self-confidence and adaptability that can be applied outside of parkour. Previous parkour experience required. Prerequisite - Participants must have attended at least 1 season of PkGen Boston classes to participate. -

Advanced Running
Whether you want to run a five-miler, a 10K, or a marathon, this course will teach you how to safely achieve your fitness goals by balancing strength, speed, hills, and endurance into your week. Coach Gaggi will give you a custom training program and check in with you weekly to keep you on track. Most classes meet at Spy Pond for a new route every week. Some classes meet at the AHS track for speed workouts. Prerequisite: For the 3 months before the start of the class, you need to have consistently run 3 times a week with at least 2-3 non-stop miles per run, totalling at least 6-9 weekly miles. If you don’t have a solid base for this course, you may get injured. Start logging your miles today! -
Advanced Tai Chi: Meditation in Motion
The ultimate in no-impact aerobics, tai chi naturally relaxes the body, promoting calm and peace of mind while improving posture, balance, and flexibility. The practice increases blood flow throughout the entire body, keeps joints flexible, and restores elasticity to muscles. It is a form of exercise that actually becomes better for you as you age. Each class focuses on the Hwa Yu short form as well as the 12 Animals of Liuhopafa form. This class is not for beginners. -
Altered Books
Transform a printed book into a one-of-a-kind work of art using cutting, painting, collage, stitching, and other creative techniques. See samples of altered books and learn a variety of methods to create your own. Use your book as a journal, a memory of a trip or person, or simply a space to explore your artistic ideas. Papers, markers, pencils, and other supplies will be provided. Bring a hardcover book and any personal items you’d like to include, such as photos, letters, maps, or keepsakes. -
America in Vietnam: 1954–1975
Examine the American experience in the Vietnam War from the 1950s through the 1970s. Beginning with the legacy of French colonialism in Vietnam, we will trace the transition of influence from France to the United States and explore how successive presidential administrations—Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon—shaped the course of the conflict. We will also examine the war’s impact on the American homefront, including the rise of antiwar activism and grassroots protest movements. Through lectures, film clips, historical scholarship, class discussion, and primary sources, we will consider one of the central questions of modern American history: how and why did the United States become so deeply involved in Vietnam, and what legacy did the war leave behind? -

Learn to play this fun and fascinating game that combines a Chinese set of tiles with American rules and strategy. You will need your own official 2026 National Mah Jongg League card, which can be purchased when you register. Beginner: We will cover the fundamentals of the game, progressing through familiarity with the tiles, building the wall, understanding the Charleston series of tile exchanges, and learning the hands. Advanced Beginner: For players who already know the basics of how to play and want to develop skills and confidence or just need a refresher. We will focus on choosing a hand, keeping your options open, and refining knowledge of the rules. Gain speed and mastery as you increase your knowledge of the game.Intermediate Strategy & Supervised Play: For confident beginners and intermediate players ready to move beyond the basics. Topics include defensive strategy such as reading passed and discarded tiles, improving hand flexibility, and making effective Charleston adjustments. Apply these skills in relaxed, supervised gameplay designed to build confidence and strengthen decision-making. -

American Sign Language (ASL)
Learn American Sign Language (ASL), a useful skill that can open up a new world of relationships and deeper understanding. These classes utilize a groundbreaking curriculum crafted by deaf ASL teachers. You’ll learn more than just signs—you’ll engage in real-world conversation. Level 1 (Beginner): In this in-person class for absolute beginners only, learn the ASL manual “alphabet” and hand shapes, basic grammar structure, and fingerspelling techniques. Explore the history of ASL while we cover pronouns, articles, numbers, yes/no questions, farewell rituals, introductions, and more. Level 2 (High Beginner): Further increase your vocabulary and get introduced to verb tenses in this in-person class for students who have completed Level 1. Learn how to engage in conversation about personal life events, family dynamics, friendships, and pets, as well as how to describe appearances and name North American cities, states, and provinces. Level 3 (Intermediate): This class is for students who have completed Level 2. Refine your skills as we cover more complex topics, including numeral incorporation, telling time, expressing frequency, daily routines, holidays and cultural observances, vacations, hobbies, and more.
